Today, I’m delighted to share a recent conversation I had with three remarkable individuals: Dr. Dion Tuckwell, a communication design lecturer; Dr. Fiona Young, an architect and researcher specializing in learning environments from Hayball Architects; and Jackie Vaughan, the Foundation Principal of Evelyn Scott School. These inspiring professionals were all integral in the design and construction of Evelyn Scott School.

It is my great pleasure to re-introduce Mitchell Hemphill. Mitchell is s school principal and leader from Canada. The first time we spoke I was about a year ago and we discussed Finding your purpose, learning to listen and developing a cohesive school community. In this conversation, it felt as though we picked up right where we left off. We talked about self-leadership, starting in a new school, and the importance of embracing leadership diversity.

Dr Tom Porta is an academic, educator, researcher, and author. 

Tom focuses on inclusive education and differentiated instruction. He completed his PhD in Inclusive Education in 2023. As a Lecturer and educator, he is dedicated to helping schools implement inclusive education practices.

With over a decade of experience teaching in primary and secondary settings, plus four years in tertiary education, Tom has delved into inclusive education, numeracy, learning difficulties, disabilities, and developing programs for students with high support needs.

Today I have the great pleasure of sharing a recent conversation with Simon Smart. 

Simon is the Executive Director of the Centre for Public Christianity. A former English and History teacher, Simon has a Masters in Christian Studies from Regent College, Vancouver. He has just released a new book The End of Men? Simon draws on his own experiences of schooling and fatherhood, the best contemporary research, interviews with those on the front lines of a growing crisis, as well as ancient wisdom

He asks, "How can we help boys become their best selves and a gift to those around them?”

His writing has appeared in places like The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, the ABC, The Australian, and The Guardian. He also regularly appears on ABC’s The Drum.
